Microwave Radiometry in Urology

Pavlova L.S. and Poliakov V.M. in their work used microwave radiometry for diagnosis of acute pyelonephritis. They compared the average internal temperature measured at the projection of the kidney and mean-square dispersion of internal temperature in the diseased and healthy kidneys. Their investigations have shown that an average temperature of the diseased kidney lowers, but a temperature dispersion increases considerably.

At the Therapy & Diagnostics Room of the State Clinical Hospital #124 the clinical trial for estimating diagnostic abilities of RTM-01 to examine patients with pathology of the urinary system have been conducted.

The clinical trial has shown that RTM-01-RES is useful for diagnosis of kidney diseases and for estimating treatment results. At present RES is developing a rectal sensor for the detection of prostate diseases.
